At our scale, FlightHub 2 simply was not cost-effective. FlytBase gave us the fleet management and pricing that worked for a large operation. We have completed over 9,000 missions since switching and the platform has handled every one of them.

We tried to integrate FlightHub 2 with our client's VMS system. It was extremely difficult and we could not get it to work. After switching to FlytBase, we had RTSP configured and video streaming live almost immediately. For a security deployment, that kind of reliability is non-negotiable.

The DJI on-premise solution did not have anywhere near the support level we needed to deploy confidently with our enterprise clients. FlytBase gave us a high-touch model, direct communication, and a team that actually prioritizes what customers need. That made all the difference.

Our IT and security teams have strict requirements around where data goes. FlytBase's on-premise deployment routes everything internally, with nothing leaving our environment. That is what cleared it through our security review. FlightHub 2 was not an option on that basis alone.

FlightHub 2 could not give us what our operation actually required: integration with our existing control room and automated drone dispatch when a fire alarm triggers. In a wildfire monitoring environment, that gap is not acceptable. FlytBase delivered both. Missions now launch automatically on alarm. That is the system we needed.

We were experiencing serious reliability issues with FlightHub. Intermittent payload dropouts, connectivity problems, latency during remote operations. We operate drones across the United States and the connection has to hold. When platform issues start affecting the business, you have to make a change.

DJI cut down the free streaming minutes and suddenly the economics changed. When you are running security operations, you cannot have the platform pause because you hit a streaming limit. FlytBase includes streaming within the enterprise license and does not stop operations when minutes run out. For security, that matters.

What FlightHub 2 cannot do is act. It can show you a feed but it does not detect, alert, or respond on its own. We needed a platform with autonomous AI detection that would catch an unauthorized presence and trigger a real-time alert without someone watching a screen. FlytBase has that built in.
