What is GIS?

Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system that captures, stores, verifies, and displays data about positions on the earth's surface. In the drone industry, drones collect geospatial data that is analyzed and visualized using GIS software. This combination enables detailed mapping, terrain analysis, and environmental monitoring. It's particularly useful in urban planning, agriculture, conservation, and infrastructure management, providing critical insights into these fields.
